About us
Our
approach
From
beginners to advanced, our dynamic
and target-focused lessons equip all
our students with invaluable tools that will enhance their English
language skills and inspire learning beyond the classroom.
Meet
the Teachers
All
our teachers are graduates holding
the minimum TEFL qualification recognised and demanded by the British
Council, the Cambridge CELTA
(Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) and
the advanced DELTA.
All
our trainers have a wide breadth of experience teaching both in
the UK and abroad. We strongly believe in striving for excellence
and as such, all our teachers are actively engaged in continuous
training and professional development.
Meet
the Founder
As a result of her wealth of experience
teaching to a range of high-level requirements, Gaëlle founded
Sharp English Language Training based on the principle that providing
a high-quality and bespoke service is a consequence of being a professional,
experienced and passionate teacher.
Gaëlle
is the founder and Director of Sharp English Language Training with
wide TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign
Language) experience to university post-graduate level.
Gaëlle
provides English language training services to governmental, institutional,
commercial and private clients. After analysis and consultation,
Gaëlle designs syllabi to meet clients' specific requirements
A graduate
from the University of Nottingham with a BA (Hons) in French and
Russian, Gaëlle has also gained the advanced Cambridge Diploma
in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA).
After
qualifying in 2004, Gaëlle taught in a language school in Italy,
where, amongst other responsibilities, she conducted teacher training
for business clients from the banking and manufacturing sectors.
This training helped teachers meet and surpass the requirements
and expectations of business clients.
In 2006,
Gaëlle was a language instructor at the British Institute in
Santiago, Chile, where she designed and delivered courses for private
individuals, including medical professionals, and the telecommunications
industry. Having completed the courses with Gaëlle, the telecommunications
personnel were able to conduct business in English at executive
level with non-native and native speakers.
After
her post in Chile, in 2008 Gaëlle became a part-time university
lecturer at a Russell Group University (Group of 20 research-intensive
universities in the UK), tutoring English language to international
post-graduate students in the areas of research and writing skills,
presentation techniques and spoken communication. This training
enables students to undertake their post-graduate studies in their
chosen academic field in the United Kingdom.
Her
personal interests include: reading, skiing, classical Spanish guitar
and dancing.
